Michael J. Murphy is a technology architect by day and a researcher of profitable pursuits by night. Tired of side-hustle advice that was really a sales funnel in disguise, he set out to catalog the ways ordinary people actually earn extra income — and to write down what they cost, what they pay, and what they take out of you.

The result is The Hustler Almanac: sixty-plus pursuits held to the same standard, with conservative numbers and the caveats left in. He lives with his wife Beth and their two daughters, Finley and Kendal, whose college funds are the reason he practices what he compiles.
